What are Marijuana and K2?

Marijuana is a greenish/brownish/grayish mixture of dried, shredded leaves, stems, seeds, and flowers of the hemp plant. The terms cannabis or marijuana generally refer to the dried flowers and subtending leaves and stems of the female cannabis plant. This is the most widely consumed form, containing 3% to 22% THC.
These are hemp plants, that are grown.

K2 is made up of a mix of different herbs sprayed with a mix of psychotropic chemicals. Synthetic cannabinoids are the common ingredient. JWH-018 is a new synthetic cannabinoid created by scientists to test receptor function in the lab. JWH-018 is chemically similar to THC, the psychotropic ingredient in marijuana.

Addictiveness of K2

The drug K2 has no research on whether it is addicting or not.

How long does the high last?

Within the first few minutes of the intake of marijuana, it should start to affect your brain. A nice buzz
can last from 30 minutes to 2 hours. The effects of getting high on marijuana can be different from one
person to the next.

The users of K2 have said the high is similar to that of marijuana, meaning that the high of the
drug can vary between 30 minutes to two hours.

Common Street Names for Marijuana and K2

Common street names for marijuana are reefer, pot, herb, ganja, grass, old man, blanche, weed,
sinsemilla, bhang, dagga, smoke, hash, tar, hash oil, oil, charas, wacky, and bud.

Addictiveness of Marijuana

Marijuana is usually the most argued addictive drug, some say it is and some say differently. Some
studies show that the users can become tolerant of the drug after heavy, repeated use. To be addictive
means to crave something so much that it can control one’s behavior. There isn’t complete evidence
of addiction on the subject of marijuana except for individuals claiming psychological dependence, but
each case is too unique to use as facts. There have been symptoms of agitation, restlessness, insomnia,
sweating, and mild nausea for when there is a withdrawal of the drug after it has been used frequently
over a certain time period. To avoid these symptoms users initiate the use of this drug again.

How Marijuana Works

    • The chemical in Marijuana that gets you high is the cannabinoid THC (Delta-9-Tetrahydrocannibinol)
    • There are THC receptors in the brain, especially in the area of the brain that controls memory, concentration, and thought (hippocampus and cerebellum)
    • Similarly, K2 has synthesized cannabinoids JWH-018 and JWH-073 that were found by organic chemist John W. Huffman.
